There are two extra wires attached to the battery post along with the main ones. They are possibly size 10 or slightly bigger.
What do they power??
I want to put a cut-off switch in line and and would like to know if I should include them in the equation.
I'm guessing they are for the brakes? That would explain the emergency locking feature for the brakes.

They are likely for the Zamp solar connector, not for the brakes.
