Hello,  New 179 owner here.  The torsion axle owners up here have long had concerns about leaving a load on a torsion axle over the winter.  They claim they 'set' and develop a memory that narrows their functionality later.  Anyone else with a similar experience or remedy?  Would love to hear from owners in cold climates who have experience or an informed opinion.  Thanks in advance.  Bruce

Howdy Bruce,
My 177 had three or four feet of heavy snow on it for three to four months this last winter.  A huge load of weight and below zero for weeks/months.  No problem with the axles come spring.
The Rpod pulls just fine.   My horse trailer did as well, of course it has much tougher built torsion axles.  The torsion axles are state of the art, so worry about something else IMO.  Much preferred to the slipper spring option.   And they ride so much better.   Steve

The torsion axle has been around a VERY long time, and lots and lots of campers with them have over wintered all over the place. If it was in issue, there wouldn't be "concerns" there would be knowledge. Pod On.
