We are on our first trip with our new 179. So far all has gone well except today we noticed water running out of the fresh water fill tank. We are hooked to city water and the water has somehow filled the fresh water tank. for now I just turned the city water off and we are using the water out of the tank. Tomorrow I will check the valve under the bed to see if it is completely closed. Anything else I should check?

A common problem. There is a check valve in the pump that prevents city water from filling the FW tank. Sometimes dirt, sand, or debris from the FW tank drilling gets caught in the check valve and prevents it from sealing. The fix is to disconnect city water, turn the pump on, and cycle the pump several times by opening and closing a cold water faucet in the trailer. Most of the time this clears the dirt. If not the pump will have to be disassembled and cleaned.

Charlie, thanks that seems to have fixed the problem.
This morning we left Acadia NP and headed south. Tonight we are camping near Cape Cod. All is going well except somewhere the plastic lid for the propane tank cover bounced or blew off. That's no big deal I see them on Amazon.

We had this problem also when our water pressure control valve failed.  The valve was 7 years old so it wasn't unexpected.  Luckily I had another with me and most campground offices sell them.  Charlie's method works.

I have had an intermittent issue with this. Have tried the method Charlie suggests and disassembled the water pump. I installed a 1/2 NPT valve on FW tank drain to better understand when it is happening. It will work normal for days and then the FW tank is collecting water. My pressure regulators all work, not an issue, has a mind of it's own. Like a science experiment at this point.
