I want to use the quick disconnect on my R-Pod to hook up my Weber baby Q grill. Do I just get a hose that goes from the disconnect and screws into where the small bottle did attach, or do I need to eliminate the regulator at the grill since the Pod is already regulated?

You have to convert grill to unregulated, can't regulate twice. Lot of posting on this subject and YouTube vids on process. The Weber grills are covered well on YouTube. I have an older Pod and went with the CAMCO tank adapter that allows me to use an auxiliary tank and connects tank to grill without modification.

I actually used a Y splitter tee adapter connector that connected to the propane tank and turns into two propane connections, one for the R-Pod and the other for my Weber Q . It worked great. Only about $20.  When the Weber gas hose is disconnected from the tee, it has a self sealing automatic valve, no leaking.

There are many on Amazon, but I think I bought mine at Lowes or Home Depot.
