We always recommend the use of a pressure regulator. This is the 2nd place I hooked up this year with high pressure.. I shot a video. Note, when I open the trailer side of the wye, which has nothing attached and is an open connection, the system pressure remains above 90psi..

Use a regulator people.

I have been reading from several podders about high pressure problems.  This is how I solved the high pressure problem...
When setting up, I put a pressure gage on the water hook up. If it is over 45 or 50, I do not connect the water to my trailer.  Instead, I fill the on board fresh water tank and use the on board water system and pump. Just re fill the tank with your hose and don' risk all the problems associated with high pressure.
Pretty simple and easy....
