I am not unusually finicky, but the thought of storing my new black tank rinse wand after it's use without proper cleaning of the 'stuff' on it makes me pause.

I assume pouring a final bucket of water over it while it is held in the toilet will rinse the 'stuff' off it (?).

Then What?

I'm thinking I'll then spray bleach on it ( https://www.clorox.com/products/clorox-clean-up-cleaner-bleach/ ) and let it sit outside for 20 minutes or so, then dry it off with a paper towel and put it into a plastic garbage bag in the pass-thru.

There must be a more efficient way to do this!

Probably not a better way. That is why the black tank flush system is better. No parts to clean or handle after use.

Never carried ours with. But if we did, I would just put it in the storage tube with the dump hose.

I don't carry mine with me, I use the black tank flush on road. When cleaning I rinse with water hose, it shouldn't be submerged and I already dumped after leaving campsite. I use it to basically remove toilet paper.
