Does anyone have a 182g and camp with small children?

We have very small ones, and I'm wondering how well this would work.

We really don't want anything large; we mostly want a place to sleep that is all hard-sided, off the ground, and comfortable.

Our twins were 5 when we got our 182G last spring. We never cook inside, preferring to be outside. The twins love the bunks and switch between top and bottom each night. The 182G has been perfect for our family of 4. The fridge, bed and toilet (especially at night) have been a wonderful upgrade over tent camping. And we love the outdoor kitchen/garage.

Good luck,

We camp with our grandchildren.  The older ones use the upper bunk, but if you had young ones, you would want a ladder/rail for their safety.  Otherwise it works great.  We use the garage to hold life preservers, their water toys, in addition to the kitchen things.  Works great for us.

Thanks for replies.
I'm having a hard time understanding what is included in the "garage."  It appears to have a sink.  Does it drain, or is it one of these where you have a basin that you have to dump?  Is there an outside fridge?

I notice it comes with a portable gas grill.  Is there a place in the garage to connect it?

As for towing:  If we were able to use the garage as a kitchen, would we be able to keep pots, dishes, utensils, crock pot, and rice cooker back there without overloading the weight on the very end of the camper while towing?

The new Rpods come with one sink.  Ours is a 2015 model and comes with two large ones (overkill). It does have a small drain.  You can't get anything that would clog it in it!  The grill hooks up below the pod and it has a stand that it sits in.  Works great for us.  We store it in the bag inside one of the sinks so that it isn't thrashing around.  There are a few bins, but I'm not sure how much stuff you can store there.  The heaviest thing we have in the back is the grill and the aforementioned swimming/fishing supplies.  Our spare tire is under the garage area fastened down.  There is very little room in the kitchen for actual kitchen things.  I keep bins of stuff that fit on the counter (put away for travel) and anything else goes under the bunks and front dinette.
