The power cord on my Pod is about 10 feet short of an electrical outlet. Can I add an extension cord? I'd like to make sure my batteries are fully charged for the coming holiday weekend. I have a 10 foot 16 guage cord or a 50 foot 14 guage cord. Would either of these work? Could I also turn the frig on propane or would this be too much electrical draw? | I think you will be fine. A turn of duck tape around the joint would be a good temporary moisture seal. It should even run the fridge. |

I take you are talking about running on a 110 VAC outlet to your Pod. Yes with proper adapter you can attach the extension to your POD power outlet, I used to do this to charge battery before I added a 30 amp service to my building. You can't run AC or microwave. I would use the 14 gauge cord, or buy a good outdoor heavy duty extension. From 110 you're limited to amps on line. If you get wet weather, I suggest you disconnect and wait. I have my pod plugged in on a 110v 20 amp circuit​ with a 100 foot 12 gauge extension cord. ( On a farms back 40). The 110 is only used to keep the batteries charged,and I've had no issues with it.
