Summer came early as temps spiked for three days 90 - 106 then dropped to 77 degrees...an omen of the up coming summer.  No matter, life is good along the river with the A/C running and time spent snorkeling looking for plunder like keys, sun glasses, cellphones and other curiosities in the waters of the cove; then doing the usual camping things like visiting with the neighbors, eating well, taking naps in the afternoon as "only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday's sun".  And watching late evening "B" rated movies for the laughs and giggles.

No trip to the Parker Strip would be complete without dropping the anchor at the Tartuga of the Colorado River.  Point your compass toward any cardinal point and they all will lead you to The Pirates Den.  Yes, "here there be pirates".  A den of debauchery and sloth, decadence and hedonism.  Try their pineapple hamburger.  It is the epitome of the latter two offenses.

But enough, let the picture gallery tell the tale..."hide your dishes and your daughters and anything that might get broke" for "here there be pirates" poppet.
