I pick up my new R-pod 180 Hood River edition this weekend A few questions for the veteran R-podders 1. Best deal/source for a good cover 2.suggestions for when to pull over in high winds (anybody ever flip one?)3. Is it worth getting the insurance for the interior goodies, e.g. TV, microwave, etc. Any other advice is more than welcome. Thanks in advance for any answers input!

Amazon has the best prices for covers.  This is for the premium model which covers the 2017.5 180 with the roof antenna and ac unit. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018M3JE5I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=.  Insurance is a personal item some like it, most don't.  Do not know about driving in winds but a sway bar is an essential must have, while weight distribution is optional.

Thanks a trailerful for your advice. I just ordered a cover from Amazon as recommended. The sway bar will be added before I pick it up. Have the appliances (frig, microwave, AC,etc.) that come with your R-pod held up well? I also ordered a 170 watt solar panel kit that came up on Home Depots deal of the day for only $349. It went for twice that on Amazon. It's made by Nature Power; couldn't find any reviews on it but for that price I took the chance. I live in CA so sunshine is plentiful!

Only issue I have had on my 2011 is the muffin fans not coming on for the fridge.  Simple fix was to place the bi-metal switch to the top of the coil on the back of the fridge.  Cannot comment on A/C or microwave, we special ordered ours in January 2011 to NOT have those items.  BTW, our furnace has gotten extensive use over the 6 years we have owned it, no problems to date.
