Cookbook for two

Thanks for the recommendation. We had been digging up recipes from our old single days and just adding a bit to that since we didn't really want any leftovers to clutter up the fridge.

Have you ever gone to the butcher and asked him to repackage one pork chop or 2 chicken thighs.  Rather than taking what they have plastic wrapped, I would bet they will try and accommodate you.  Be interesting to hear what you find.  Safe Travels.

Reasons they would not want to do so:
1. Cost of and storage space for additional sizes of packaging trays if the store were to package in small quantities.
2. Additional time needed to package, wrap, weigh, and make labels for small packages. This would be added in to the price so something that might cost $1.19 in the larger package might be $1.49 in the smaller package (numbers are example, not actual).

If you are preparing for a trip, there is nothing to say that you can't do the repackaging yourself from a larger package and freeze the rest for later use. Purchases on the road do present a problem though. Stores package for what they sell most frequently. Small quantities are not as popular as family packs.
