In an effort to eliminate atmospheric moisture from the 'Pod, (and the mold / mildew that often results), we have been using the DampRid line of products.  They seem to work as advertised, but here in North Central (Gulf Coast) Florida, we go through a fair number of them between outings.

I have been searching for a small, reasonably priced dehumidifier with a drain outlet instead of, (or in addition to) the collection cup that is typical in this class of products.  I figure that the outlet hose could be positioned to drain into the sink and have the collected moisture drain into the gray tank.  (If ever there was more than 30 gal. collected we would have other problems to deal with!)

Any experience or recommendations would be very welcome!  Smile

Iv'e been using one of these and it works pretty good. It's renewable. In Florida, you may need a couple of them.

We got this one to use in the house in the winter and if there is a big rain storm I put in the trailer for 1/2 day and there is no condensation at all. We picked one up from Amazon Warehouse deals, $180 new $156 thru Warehouse Deals. It has a hose port if you don't want to dump the tank

A lot of dehumidifiers have a "continuous" operations mode that allows you to add a hose that runs to a drain and bypasses the internal tank. I use one for my basement and I have an extra one that I use in our recently purchased R-Pod 171.   You only need a small capacity unit since the air volume in your unit is so low. My "extra" unit is a 5 quart capacity unit and it's overkill in a big way. Both of my units are Frigidaire and you just set the % humidity that you want to stay under and the unit will turn off and on as needed. You definitely want to set it under 70% (over 70% is sure fire habitat for mold). I set mine around 45-50%. That's a good compromise setting - doesn't run too much and I don't have to worry about the variation in humidity throughout the R-Pod. Good luck!
Happy Trails!
