Our first adventure in our new R-Pod 179 was a trip to Kohler-Andrea State Park in Sheboygan Wisconsin. We took our daughter and 2 boys (ages 2 1/2 and 6) along for the ride. Kohler-Andrea is a magnificent place right on the shores of Lake Michigan. The camp sites are gorgeous and large with electric but no water. Facilities are spotlessly clean, and the lake is a short walk over the dunes. We put our daughter and boys in the queen bed, and we slept on the dinette...Tom's head at one end, mine at the other. I slept like a rock!Yes, it was crowded with 5 of us, but we had a ball, and got to see where to put things in the pod and discover what we needed and did not need. We installed a curtain at the queen bed for privacy, and it had the feel of a compartment on a train. The boys LOVED the campfire at night (and we did too) Having been avid boaters for years, this was our first experience camping. Sheboygan is a great spot because the park is 3 miles from town and there is soooo much to do and see in the area. A great first stop on our camping adventure.
Next stop...just the two of us to Starved Rock State Park sometime in August.
