So Jayco has this cute little Hummingbird that has the identical floor plan as my R-Pod 179!!! Just different color schemes and exterior, which comes with an awning... But I just wanted the unique look of the R-Pod and it was cheaper. The Jayco was offered to me a 22,000 out the door, tax, title, license with awning and 2 year warranty. They only had ONE on the lot and I just didn't want to be pressured to buy quick. So we chose the R-Pod.

$22k is pretty ridiculous for a Hummingbird considering my local Jayco dealer has 25' Jay Flight SLX's on the lot for $14,200. You can even get a fiberglass 20RL (3485 dry weight,24' long) for under $20k most places.

Pricing is variable all over. The MSRP of our pod was over $22K.. we paid WAY less.. others pay close to, or even full, MSRP. Dealers always start at MSRP.. why not? then if an informed buyer can talk them down.. ;)

Glad to hear that information. I live in Maryland where nothing is cheap. I paid right at 20,000 out the door. My POD had the Rdome, TV, Entertainment center, Convection Microwave and, a WDH hitch, doesn't sound like I did to bad.

Paid no where near that for a 179 with R-Dome. But we're in S. WI, in Oct. and the dealership dropped the price first.
