Mirror

Looking at the link provided, Vermont simply states: "Required." Therefore, it is not BS. I saw one state that required a clear view parallel to the side of the vehicle. In my case, the stock mirrors on our Escape do not provide that view. While I can see, I do not have an unobstructed view directly behind. The additional towing mirrors provide me that view. Those who have wider TVs do not have a problem if the vehicle is indeed wider than the R-Pod but I am not sure how Vermont HP would judge that situation.

In any case, it would be prudent to check out the AAA listing and/or other resources to verify whether towing mirrors are required or not. They are likely cheaper than paying for a ticket.
