Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have had a r-pod 172 for several years. I live in Santa. Fe, NM and my wife and I enjoy camping in the southwest. I would like to put a slider type window in the door of my 172 but am concerned with how stable it would be mounted in a foam door. I know some of you have done it and would like to know if anyone has encountered any problems.

I also joined the other forum before I discovered this one. Do most people belong to both? I am a little confused by the similarity of the websites.

fdgibbons1,
Welcome to the forum!!
I installed the slider window in my 179 last year. The foam in the  door is very rigid & thick. I had no problems doing the install & have not had any problems with the window since the install. Just remember, measure twice; cut once!!

Thanks, Rob.  I plan to install it next week when the weather warms up a bit.

Welcome to the group fdgibbons1.  Glad to hear you have had your 172 for some time.  Same for us as we have enjoyed our 177 for 5 years now.   Great unit.
