Can I use another brand( other than Zamp) to plug in to the sidewall plug in ?  Is there any hardware needed to do that?  thanks in advance, I have always found alot of wisdom here,Smile

Any system can be plugged in, you need a "SAE Plug".. widely available, many units come with that as one of the options. You do need a panel set with built in, or attached charge controller, to be truly plug and play.

No, I am saying exactly the opposite. The zamp port on the pod is ONLY a set of wires to the battery(ies). Most people use folding panel sets, and they have all had a built in controller on the panel. If you want something different, the sky is the limit, but you will have to have a controller and panels, and do the wiring yourself..

I agree with Furpod, and I have the Renology Suitcase and it works very well.
Just be aware that the Renology uses SB type connectors and not SAE.

We just got a Renology suitcase with alligator clips, so today we got a 10' wire with a male SAE connector for the Zamp port on the 179.
