+1.....I read the same thing. I've just completed 6 years of service on my tires and will be replacing them before my first trip next spring. My personal opinion is that 6 years is fine as long as the tires have been properly maintained. In your situation (not knowing the history), if the money is there, I think I would replace them - just for peace of mind. The thought of having to change a flat tire on the shoulder of an interstate highway does not thrill me - especially if it is on the left side. thanks! that's a good site for tire info! I appreciate it!
I'm going to ask the service shop about the tires in a few weeks when I take it in to be winterized (since I'm not quite confident enough to do it myself yet). |
