Tried hooking to the cable TV at a park for the first time last night.  I first hooked the outside cable to the "Cable" connection and left the TV cable connected to the "TV" connection inside.  Switched channel setting in TV menu (replacement LG TV) to cable.  Only recieved local channels sfter doing a channel search.  Moved both outside cable and inside TV cable to the Satelite connection, still only local channels on the TV.  Bad park cable connection?  Something I'm doing wrong?

The only other thing that comes to mind (and you didn't mention it) is that you've got to turn off the antenna booster as well...

Nope, I left it on.  I'll try that.  The way I see it, if I use the satelite connection both on the inside and outside, I should get the cable signal to the TV.

If you have enough cable try running from the park connection directly to the DTV and tune. Bypassing all of the crap on the POD should provide good feedback about the state and condition of the park cable box. Maybe the park only provides local programming?

Great idea.  If I had more time, I should have tried that.  Headed back to Florida from SC to avoid most of the rain.
