Can the cushion covers be cleaned and how? We just bought a 2010 171 and the cushions smell. We want to replace the foam with new foam which I can get off Amazon and cut to size and hopefully we can clean the covers that zip off. Any experience with this???

Yes, years ago I did the cushions on a pop up trailer. I hand washed them with three large plastic bins. Woolite in the first, 2nd was the first rinse, 3rd was the final rinse, wring them good then hang them out to dry. Worked pretty good.

Funny you should ask. We just washed our covers last week in our washing machine. They came out fine. However, we did replace the foam, about two years ago because it started to bottom out upon being sat on. Went to a fellow who makes cushions for boats and tried out many different densities of foam before deciding on our final combo. A layer of denser foam on top with a more forgiving layer underneath. Much more comfortable to sit on. Because of the expense, we only replaced the seating cushion, not the back support. Safe Travels.

Thanks, based on the above responses, my wife is going to machine wash them in cold water using Woolite and allow them to air dry.
I ordered new high density foam last night for all the cushions so we'll see how that works out.

Would you be willing to give the info of the person who redid your cushions? We aren't needing them done yet, but we sleep on the cushions in our 182g. It's only a matter of time before they need to be done.
I like the idea of different foam densities also.

Sure.  He is here in Oregon, near the Rpod plant.  The price at the time was $200. per cushion.  If you are interested, I will look up his name and address.  I  just found his info on the web.

He did a fine job.  However, my suggestion is that you find a local craftsman to refoam your pillows.  He had me try and sit and lie down on different densities of foam until I found a combo that was comfortable for me.  One size does not fit all.  Look in Google for furniture repair, cushions, etc. locally.  Safe Travels.

Anyone have any updated information on this?

We just purchased a 2011 176 and we'd like to wash the covers - machine wash/cold with woolite?

Any insight would be appreciated.
