we used our high point convection oven for the first time this weekend. After cooking for about 10 minutes the microwave quit working. There was no readout in the window. No power on the microwave. The button you push to open the oven door was to hot to the touch. I checked for a blown fuse, but it was good. I unplugged the power cord in the overhead  cuboard, I plugged the microwave into a different outlet using an extension cord. Still no power to the microwave. Then I plugged a lamp into the microwave outlet to make sure it had power and it did. After about an hour the microwave powered back on again. Sounds like I have a defective microwave. What do you think?

there is a known issue with the high point. I would unplug it and contact your dealer.

Sounds like your microwave over heated for some reason. The known issue has to do with the unit turning itself on.

For those of you not on the Facebook group.

Hello R.Podder, I have recently viewed a posting regarding the High Point Convection Oven turning itself on. We have had one isolated incident. If you are experiencing your High Point Convection Oven turning itself on please contact your dealership make an appointment to have it exchange out. Please unplug the unit as soon as you are aware of it turning on by itself.Thank you,Susan Thornberg
