Hello all.
As recently recounted here, I had MAJOR smoke issues due to my own cooking mistake. I have now replaced my old, still very smelly, Sunbeam convection/microwave with a Dometic unit that has, as far as I can tell, the exact same power consumption, features and dimensions. Even the manuals are virtually unchanged. As one example - In the Sunbeam manual, a heading "Other Convenient Feature" followed by multiple items, exact same singular heading with the Dometic manual and the same multiple items, altho some of the items of the Dometic list have been shifted around in their manual.
The replacement Dometic unit does have several additional metallic baffles to direct hot air that my old Sunbeam lacks - one on the bottom of the unit, one on the top, and one on the back. The FR hole for the Sunbeam's electric cord is in the right wall (facing the unit) about midway up. The Dometic standard placement diagram has a hole in the back top right corner of their enclosing compartment.
The 'Bottom Line' - I presume the Dometic baffles are placed for directing the hot gases back there(?) and I can place baffles as in the old Sunbeam unit's(?).
Any comments are very much appreciated.
