I purchased a vent cover (like maxair). I have mounted these on other trailers, but when l looked at the rpods vent with exhaust fan it does seem like l can not bolt it on. What did other podders do? Sheet metal screws instead of bolt ? How did you drill holes on ac side of vent? Any info would be helpful before l disassemble the whole vent/fan.

I used the fan-tastic vent cover. It uses the existing screws with there own mounting hardware. Just needed to add LAP sealant as directed.

Ended up taking screen off of fan/vent inside and was able to reach inside to install bolts& mounting brackets for vent cover. Borrowed 90 degree drill to drill holes between vent and ac .
Now have vent cover installed. I did not have to remove the fan , but it would not be that hard if needed. It would be unscrewed thru the open roof vent( 4 screws & 2 wires).
