I don't see a problem with flushing the stinky slinky with two drains.  Dump the blackwater tank first and run the built in flush.  then move the hose to the graywater tank and drain that.  No big deal.

Thank you! Podster was correct that I needed to hear from someone who had actually used the Sewer Solution on the R Pod! I had watched countless videos, but with the way we have the two separate tanks and the backfill on the opposite side wasn't sure if you could use the SS to backfill.

Like you, I have a cleanout right next to my driveway and use it when I get home from a short trip. We usually have full hookups while camped and I can leave the SS attached to the waste water side and not worry about when someone takes a shower.

Now I don't have to worry about getting a longer storage container mounted on the Pod or having to purchase that goofy looking stand for the big black worm! It is truly disgusting to me!! Yippie I'll be a Happier Camper. Thanks!!

I'm sure podgirl will appreciate hearing from an actual user of the product. I can see the benefit of your application, however, for me...I don't ever plan to pull the POD when the tanks are full, except to the nearest dump station.

I've got the Sewer Solution for my 178 and have used it, without exception, since we bought the R-Pod. I've setup a way to flush at home so I don't have to deal with the waiting or mess at the dump stations. 

I would not recommend trying to use at a dump station, as it's slow, and you're going to have people waiting behind you. 

When I get home, I just pull into my driveway, hook it up and let it run while we unpack and clean up from the trip. Then run a couple of rinse-jets back up the black tube, close the main valve and let it finish rinsing. I end up with no mess, no smell, no stinky slinky's contaminated little ridges. 

I was hesitant at first, but since the R-Pods don't combine the black and gray flush valves it makes it more difficult to get a good rinse of the slinky. The Sewer Solution has solved that problem for me. It's not for everyone, because of the slow 1" drain, but if you like the idea of a sealed flush with lots of water-flow rinsing, I couldn't recommend it more.

LOL, just when I thought I have everything I need...a poop cannon, really. Well I learned something here. I never considered the possibility of being is a situation where the standard Stinky Slinky would fall short, but now I can see where there may be situations that warrant the cannon.  I just hope I don't find any of them. Smile

Interesting.  And, yes, there's no reason why it wouldn't work with an r-pod.

Personally, I've got a FlowJet Macerator (aka the poop cannon) that I use for emptying my black tank at home and occasionally in a campground where I've got to pump uphill or into a nonstandard sewer outlet.

But, like my FlowJet, the sewer solution appears to be considerably more trouble to setup and use in typical camping situations than a 10' stinky slinky.  The 3" stinky slinky is quick and simple - and on-site sewers are usually only 4-6' away from the trailer's sewer outlet, or when using a dumpstation, its easy enough to pull up in the ideal spot.  Sometimes its best not to overcomplicate things...

However, it's not for me. I don't see the point. The PODs have a Black Tank Flush already and even if not you can simply flush the tank by filling through the commode. 

I don't get any warm fuzzy's at all with this product using the idea of developing a vacuum (I guess), by creating another step with having to connect water. The 1 inch pipe, by default, has to be susceptible to clogs over the standard 3 incher. 

The only real advantage I can see at all with this device is the potential to clean the hose after use, I guess that is the only real point as the demonstrator refers to the traditional 3" sewer hose the "Stinky Slinky" They sell attachments specifically designed to make the "Stinky Slinky" not so Stinky and I have one, got it at Walmart for 8 bucks. 


For me? On this one, no thanks! But thanks for sharing this...it was interesting to review it and I always welcome the opportunity to learn new things about new products. 

If you get one, please let us know how you like it and how it works.
