On my 2013 model 177 they just slide from the center outward very easily on the doubles, and from the switch area outward for the singles. You can take a small blade screwdriver to get them started, but mine didn't even need that once I figured out that they slide off. They sit in a little slot/groove with a couple tabs that you will line up to put them back on. Don't pry or you will probably wish you wouldn't have.
