Our camping season is kind of upside down.  I imagine that at least some members are at least thinking about winterizing, while we are just setting out on our first trip since last April.

I'm sure that some Floridians enjoy their R-Pod during the summer months, but we prefer to spend as much time outside the trailer as possible, and setting up just to turn on the A/C and hole up inside is not our cup of tea.  (Nor is enduring 95 degrees and 95% humidity!)

On he other hand, waking to temps in the low 40's is way OK for both us and the pups.  A small ceramic heater is all that's needed to take off the chill thanks to the R-Pod's insulation.  We'll camp at least once a month between now and next summer.

Florida State Parks are our choice and, fortunately, there are many within easy driving distance.  This is a short 2-nighter, so Manatee Springs is the Park closest to the island.  Next month is Suwannee River near Live Oak and I'm sure we'll find time to get back to Anastasia, probably our favorite.

Kind of ironically, the couple who introduced us to the R-Pod have decided that it's not for them and are going to sell theirs.  (And not replace it, either....)  Different strokes, I guess, but we love ours SmileSmileSmile

A couple of beautiful days and nights!  Some sun, a lot of high overcast, no rain.  Temps around 63 both mornings and never got to 80 either afternoon.  Thanks for the fall tease!  We'll look forward to the real fall weather in another month or so.

Oooh Yeah, in southern Indiana we have temps in the low 50's in the night and high seventies in the day, sunny and great hiking weather. We also use a 1500 watt ceramic heater for the night as the furnace is noisy at best. I love the cool crisp mornings and the fresh coffee brewing. Donna and I have a light breakfast and go hiking or a little bank fishing or a short day trip, but the best is the crackling fire and a little chill from the evening. we cook on the open fire as much as possible and the sleeping weather is great. Have fun, keep on Poddin.

Happy, Happy Temperature here in Cherokee National Forest of high 40's to mid 50's in the morning to low 80's in the day.  We are Podding off to Cherokee tonight and expect it to be slightly cooler.  The trees are starting to turn over 4k ft and just rustling around the ground for now.  The smell of apples is in the air.

Perfect camping weather!!!
