I'm from an even older school and just use 2x6 boards I carry in various lengths.   Never failed me yetSmile

Plus- being old if I roll off and forget them, it is just pennies for the loss LOL

BAL. Used it on concrete, grass, and sand. Sand and grass do prove a little tricky sometimes. Sand/dirt you can just dig out the sides of the tire to fit the leveler. One thing we found, if you aren't on level ground with dirt, the leveler can shift. The weight of the pod and the shaking from movement can cause it to "slide". Only reason I mention it is because the stabilizers then have extra weight on them.
Just make sure you are as even as possible when it comes to dirt sites.

Outside of that, it works great. Never had a problem, plus its compact and fits nicely in the storage bin. You will get grease residue on your hands from the rod but that's nothing much. We also use a corded drill on the BAL, but sometimes I have to switch to hand since the drill bogs down.

Also, sandy/loose dirt sites can also cause the BAL to sink slightly. This also puts extra stress on the stabilizer jacks. Just take a look in the morning. If it looks to have sunk (this will be very, very slight) I would reccoment readjusting the stabilizers to take the added weight off of themand put in back on your leveler.
