Folks,
The specifications on my R Pod 177 say that it is 9' 7" high.  Does that include the AC unit?

Thanks.

The brochure heights given by Forest River are including the AC and IIRC also include risers.

Actually, I think the high point on my r-pod is the antenna.  9'7" would be about right.  I'd cetrainly be wary of any bridge much under 10'.

Our 173 measures 9"6" to the top of the ac with risers.

I put  numbers painted on the pod in reverse so as I look in my driver's mirror I see 9"6" in black  on the white pod.  so far, so good.

Thanks everyone.  I checked with the dealer and the person I spoke with had no idea but thought that it wouldn't include the AC.  Her response was "do you expect me to have someone go out and measure it!"  Great customer serviceDisapprove! Does anyone happen to have a phone number for Forest River direct?  Everything on their website directs you to the dealerships.

I have to eat my words.  I phoned the dealer once again and asked for the service manager.  When I asked the height question his response was "I'm not sure but I have one sitting right outside my office.  Give me a minute to measure it."  Which he did and confirmed 9'7".  That's the way it's done!

I will not take mine under anything with less than 10 feet of clearence. Leaves a couple of inches to spare. I once got into line for a boarder crossing and realized that the overhead was only about 9 feet. They did not have it marked.  Luckly it was late at night and only one car behind me. I had to back out not fun.
