First time winterizing the rpod....bought two gallons of antifreeze, poured a gallon or more into the holding tank, ran the pump, flushed the sinks out until red, flushed the toilet until red......
Springtime!...flushing out the antifreeze I have a bad leak behind the toilet in the upper mechanism which should have been full of antifreeze. Damn! No other leaks under pressure except right behind the toilet (which looks like a complete pain to take out) We have extended warranty so into the shop but how can I avoid this in the future? I thought I had it figured out. ...... Obviously not.

What is leaking? There is a threaded connection back there..

Looks like the black connector that the threaded line screws in to. So right at that junction.
I can see one screw on the right as you are facing the toilet, but can't find another to let me take that unit off. How is it held on the left side? Looks like a tab to lift up over???.

You may have had a little water in the fresh tank which mixed with the antifreeze and reduced its effectiveness. There is a bypass valve with a 3' hose connected just downstream of your water pump. Next time you winterize, turn the bypass and insert the free end of that hose into your antifreeze, then turn on the pump. When you run the taps and toilet and shower and low-point drains (you didn't mention these), make sure that it runs red for at least 30 seconds so that all the water is definitely flushed out. Its not necessary to add antifreeze to your fresh tank. Just drain it as best you can. If there's still a small puddle in the bottom, that's fine.

Thanks for the suggestions. I pulled the toilet out ( that was simple) and could easily take the valve out. The black threaded section that is glued to the valve mechanism has a split at the base which is where the leak is coming from. So I need a replacement mechanism although I could just buy a new replacement toilet for $125. But hopefully I can get the replacement here in town (SLC).
So the big question is what to do next year......try the antifreeze again directly in the pump as Outbound suggests, or try a air compressor to try to just blow the lines out, as a fellow podder here in town suggests. And did I mention, I enjoyed striping out those crappy ventian blinds and we are putting in QUIET and soft cloth blinds......

The toilet needs to be flushed tiil anti freeze flushes down the toilet. After you turn off the pump pull flushhandle one more time. Replaced the valve on a 2012 rpod 177 with toilet in place.
