Donna and I are going to be a site that has CATV. I have never used it before, only outside antenna. our 2011 RP-172 has the outside coax connectors, neither is marked. I assume one is sat and one cable/catv. do you just hook coax up from pod to shore cable and scan channels, or is there some other protocol ?

Far as I know, that's the protocol.

I hooked up to CATV first time coming back from a 2 weeker. Two things seemed obvious.
1. Move the inside Television connection to the lower cable connector (top one goes to antenna).
2. Plug a short piece of coax between connection on campground pole to back of Pod.  Two choices: one labeled Satellite, the other Cable TV ... So I chose Cable TV.  WRONG!  I had to plug into Satellite To get a picture.  Why is it labelled Satellite?  What is Satellite? Are they reversed?  I dunno!

BTW, I believe I did a scan just as if I was on Antenna.

BILL-GA Thanks for tip, I will try that. we are doing a short 2 nighter but after walking around Brown Co all day I am sure we will be tired, plus its getting dark around 7pm and we need some brainless humor before bedtime. P.S. We have not been to Ga since our daughter moved back up here, she was at St Simons Island for about 10 years. I loved SSI and fresh Sea Food.
