Hi all! Been awhile since we've been on but we had to come back to share our experience with Forest River. Brief background: bought our R-pod in Oregon last year (March). When we brought it out of storage this year (May) hubby noticed some de-lamination on the outside wall, from the top trim straight down in a vertical line to the fridge vent. Tried to contact the dealer we bought from (they're out of business) and the local dealer here in BC wouldn't talk to us because we bought in the States (what's up with that??!). Anyway, last resort I contacted Forest River in Indiana and was put in touch with Rodney, via email. After I explained the problem and sent photos Rodney told us they would cover the repairs under warranty BUT we would have to take the unit back to the Dallas, OR factory. We had planned on a trip to the Oregon coast anyway so we were happy to oblige.
Now, I was pretty apprehensive about having the entire wall removed and replaced. We had to leave Mindful with them for the entire week (good job we kept our tent!) while they did the work. When we arrived at the factory, it could not have been a better experience! Jasmine, in the office, was very cheerful and made sure she had all our info in case they needed to reach us. Jim, the plant manager, met us in the yard and went over the trailer with us. Very friendly and easy going. We left feeling pretty confident the repair would be taken care of. We got a call on Friday morning from Jasmine that the trailer was done! We'd been told by Indiana not to expect it til the following Monday so this was great news. When we got back to the factory we were very pleased, to say the least! You couldn't tell anything had been done to the side wall, they had replaced all the vinyl trim around the entire trailer, replaced the door lock which wasn't working (hadn't since the first week we got it) and provided 4 new keys, replaced the r-pod decal on the front that was beginning to lift, repainted the front tongue that had a few little rust spots on it AND system checked the entire unit!! Jim came out to meet us again and went over what they had done. Amazing! It is so rare these days to have this type of service - the kind that goes above and beyond and exceeds expectations. We can not say enough. I've emailed Indiana with our thanks and a big shout out to the Dallas folks and I wanted to share this here as well. Well done, Forest River!! We welcome the good stories - and bad - so good to read about a positive experience. First I've heard of a delamination.

Sad to hear of the problem with the side wall coming apart, but great to hear of the excellent repair work from the factory.
Sounds like this was the kind of repair that only the factory would be capable of doing. Goose |

Another of our Podder friends is having a wall of hers replaced here soon. Some of us are talking about going up to see the work being done at the factory!

Thank You so much for posting this, we just discovered that our slide out leaks and probably has been since we got it back in April. We kept on blaming the dogs thinking they were tipping their water dish, but we did not have them this weekend and during a heavy rain we saw the water running down the wall under the slide out. Thanks to your post I am reassured that Forest River will take care of us.

We are so excited to take our new 177 R-pod out this weekend! Its going to be different since we own two airstreams 19ft and 25 ft eddiebauer that we just sold! Moving to Idaho from California we don't take off as much in the winter. We wanted something simple but has all the bell and whistle!!! We might be camping in the rain is the tent dome water proof? and how does it handle in wind?

Welcome. You might want to start your own thread to introduce yourself, just a suggestion. The Dome should be mostly watertight, but like any tent it may require sealing the seams, etc.
