Next time you are near Syracuse, Green Lakes State Park is a fascinating place to stay. The lake is really green and not from algae but from being so deep! And when in the Finger Lakes region, Sampson State Park on Seneca Lake is a wonderful place to stay if you want to do the Wine Trails of the Finger Lakes.

OK, now I have to try both Green Lakes and Sampson ..... I was at a birthday party for my neighbor's son and another family there had just got back from Green Lakes and raved about it. And last week at work, a coworker started telling me that he takes his family to Sampson a few times a year. Now that a fellow podder recommends them, they are on the short list. Smile
