Unlike the cable box outlet you may have at home, a campsite cable feed should be 'live'.  No cable box descrambler needed.  Your television is digital and only needs to be plugged in and set to 'auto-channel search' (or whatever is the command).

I'm not sure about the "cable tuning" part if your question, but yes, that's how you could hook up the physical cable wire.  All the TV's that I camp with have the ability to "auto-scan" for the available channels once you physically have the cable connections made.

Have the 177 with the build in CD/radio/tv unit. Works fiine but it's back in the bed area and where we would most likely want to watch TV would be up front in the dinette area. Have a nice super thin 21" LED TV that I would like to mount just to the left as you walk in the door.

Do I understand correctly, that if I am at a campground that offers cable TV hook up at each site that I could hook up the cable on the outside of the Pod, disconnect the cable that is going to the factory box and plug in a cable that was feeding my 21" flat panel. Guessing that all of the "tuning" of channels has been done by the campground and all I need is a TV that is capable of locking onto to the available channels ? The TV I have doesn't have a cable tuner built-in but from what I understand I shouldn't need that.

What say ye ??
