Thanx for the greetings.  Yes we too are big fans of the Dells and POR.  I am looking forward to a Kayak paddle around the lakes there.  We took our Pod on a big haul to PA/back in August and loved the experience.  We totally love our little portable home.  We were thinking of going to Lake Pleasant for a close Thanksgiving getaway....have you ever gone there?

Yes, Marsha we have stayed up top and in the resort at Lake Pleasant, very busy when snowbirds are here. Not much shade and much boat, atv traffic. We fly to Pennsy each year, family in Harrisburg area.

We fly often to PA as well.  We are both from there and our families are there.  After making the trek with our beloved Greyhound Stella along I cannot imagine doing our summer trip home any other way. If we could just figure out how to take our Macaw, Quaker, and rescued Sparrow along!  That's why we are shooting for somewhere close to home for Thanksgiving... I can care for my critters myself and not involve the pet sitter.  I hate be a pain but do you have any insight on Pioneer?  Pioneer and Lake Pleasant seem to be the options that are REALLY close to home...we are in Deer Valley.  I am open to your suggestions as we are total rookies....We just got the Rpod in June up until that time we were tent campers...albeit very papmered tent campers Wink !

We were tent campers too until February of last year when we picked up our 171. Last year we did about 45 days and this year about 30 days of camping. Our pod has given us no problems to speak of, minor issues which were fixed promptly by our dealer. I am not familiar with pioneer but you have the state area of Lake Pleasant, the marina/resort, and the dirt area of the marina. They run $15 per night in the park, 38 in the resort and 25 in the dirt area above the resort.
