Or a "campout"..

Just an open invite to anyone who might be in the area..

We and some friends will be at Otter Creek Park Friday and Saturday, just south of Louisville, KY. Should be a big pot of chili simmerin'....

Wink

Haven't been back down to Otter Creek since the big redo of it all.  Would love to see some pics of all the renovations there!

We haven't been there since it re-opened either.  Hope you have a great time!

OK, didn't take any facility pictures..

But will give a report..

1st, turns out there was no chili.. but that was a good thing, because I found 3 pounds of venison sirloin in the freezer.. grilled over some hickory coals.. MmmMMmmm good.

Camp ground was immaculate. Nearly every space is freshly graveled. We didn't take our mt. bikes, so didn't see all the trails, but the ones we hiked were in good shape.

Not all the sites have power/water, so lots of campers crowded into a small area. We didn't know this, though we do now.. we will "boondock" next time. Most of "A", "B", and "D" are elec/water sites. "C","E", and "F" had about 7 campers total.. of say.. 80 campers. Most of the rest were in "D" with a few in "B" and "A".. We were in "D".. Cry

They said they are going to close Oct 31st for the year, and are going to do a bunch more work over the winter.. should be nice next year for sure.

That's awesome, we will for sure be checking it out next year now.  So close to home too.  We passed it on the way to Axtel earlier this year and were thinking, hey we should check it out now.

Even more excited now to hear there will be further improvements over the winter, thanks for the info!!

We had a caving event there a few years back, it was nice then and I'm with Moose, we will have to check it out again with the Pod.  Maybe we can have another impromtu gathering sometime!  Thanks for the update!
