I know we have some podders right in the area, but didn't want to drift another thread..

Have those of you in the Calhoun GA area, or heck, anywhere else, stayed at this camp ground? We want to do a "last camp of the year" sort of thing, the last week of November. Seems going south(ish) would be warmer..

Furpod,
I've stayed there.  It's one of my very favorite campgrounds.  It sits on top of a mountain - about 8 miles from Chatsworth, GA.  It has shady, roomy sites, a beautiful mountain lake, and nice clean bathhouses.  What else would you like to know?

It's a great hike up to the fort at Fort Mountain SP.  There are the ruins of an old stone fort there that pre-dates the landing of Columbus.  And the Cherokee did not build stone forts.  I thought they had mountain biking up there but I may be mistaken.  It is a very nice campground - has fishing, boating, lake swimming, a lake pavilion with concessions (on the weekend), public picnic area, putt-putt golf - and the camping area is divided very nicely from the public areas.  But I'm sure you will have fun WHEREVER you go!
