I did the same as cane2 but I moved the step up as high as it would go. The only problem is that the step will not retract all the way, so I had to drill two extra holes and use a pair of hitch pins to keep it in place when we travel. This makes for about a 7 inch step that is normally what we are use to. It is a lot easier getting in and out.    Goose

You will find that with a 2 step setup that there will not be enough room to lower the bottom step. Two steps may work if you have the lift kit on pod. I have a problem with our 177 that does not have a lift kit on it. What i did was to re drill holes and moved the step up about a inch and a half which is a lot when you cannot lift your leg to get in the pod. I canot take a picture of it now as it is in Mn. and i an next door to you in MB. SC. now till break up (when it thaws up North).

After finally getting to camp in our new pod this past weekend, I have a question.....

The entry step into the pod is terribly steep.  We have the single, manual step and the distance from the ground to the step and the distance from the step into the camper seem enormous.  The sore muscles in my legs today prove that it's not just my imagination.  Does anyone out there have the double step on their pod?  Any ideas and/or suggestions?
