Looking for knowledge on using CPAP machines while boondocking.  We wouldn't normally camp in a place that it would be ok to run a generator all night nor would I want to.  Both husband and wife use a CPAP and seeking a battery unit capable of making it all night, or multiple nights running either one machine or two.  Have done some research into Goal Zero units but looking for anyone with experience or some solid knowledge of this area.  Thanks in advance!

If you have a DreamStation2, it runs natively on 12V. You can get a 12V power cable on Amazon.

There are less expensive ones available, but they do not have the RF chokes at both ends like the official Philips one has.

If you have one that runs on 24V, there are DC to DC converters available to step the power up to be able to run those as well. Do a search for your brand on Amazon and I am pretty sure you will be able to locate a suitable DC plug. Now, that also entails installing one or more DC outlets. That is really not that hard

One hint: Turn off the humidifier and just run the CPAP machine with some water in the tank for passive humidification. It saves a lot of power not having to run the heating element in the humidifier.

I bought an off-brand 500 watt portable solar "generator" on Amazon and it worked so well I bought another.  The brand I bought isn't available anymore but they're less than $200. Some even come with their own collapsible solar panel. I like having a dedicated cpap power source and it works great for that. When the cpap user isn't around I use it for lots of other things

We have a Jackery 1000 pro for my wife's and my CPACs. We can get 3 nights in a row before we have to recharge it. We can also hook it up to a solar panel and it stays charged and we dont have to worry about it.
