Howdy, Folks. My family and I rented several tow RVs for weekend camping in Middle TN and rented an Motorhome for a two week trip through Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. We loved the experiences so much we finally but the bullet and invested in the 193 this Spring. We like the Murphy bed and bunk bed layout (two kids). Plus the solar setup and bush kitchen included was nice.
We’ve already used it twice: weekend at Big South Fork (TN) and long weekend at Bonnaroo!!! I’d appreciate any insider tips and tricks to make the most of the RV. |

Hello Bonnieladd,
Welcome and congratulations on your 193. I hope you have many fun adventures and make many great memories with it. First off, learning to use the forum's search effectively is helpful. When you search, choose the advanced search function. That will allow you to select posts older than the 6 month default. Some information that is very helpful is older and won't show up with a standard search. Second, it sounds like you already have a good start. As for the 193, I used to have a 179. Don't be afraid to do modifications that will make your 193 uniquely yours. You may find that you want different colors. Or you may find that there is wasted space that you would like to put to use. Many of my mods were to help me better utilize our 179. Get ideas, but put your unique spin to them. Most important is to have fun. I'm glad you can take your family on adventures. They will have memories that are priceless.

Congratulations Bonnieladd on the purchase of your 193 and welcome to the 24/7 owners manual on this forum. As time allows and before going on the next trip take your fully loaded 193 to a local county garage and have them weigh you; this is usually a free service provided in your county. From that you will know: what your R-Pod weighs and also tongue weight. What you are striving for is for 11% or more of total R-Pod weight to be on the tongue to reduce/eliminate trailer sway.
