WANT TO BUY your used virgin or lightly-used WESTLAKE CR857 SPARE TIRE that you don’t want to be employed as your spare anymore. We don’t care if it is 4-7 years old, as we would only use it as a spare to match our existing Westlakes. We do NOT need the rim at all ! If you will be touring thru or near the Asheville NC region that’s ideal, or we’ll come meet you up to 125 miles or so away. That could include Greenville / Spartanburg SC area on East, Northern Georgia small towns to our south, or Seiverville / Knoxville TN to west. Love an excuse for a non-towing road trip! We’ll have cash and the transaction could be mutually beneficial!
We would give you accurate ETAs (phone or text) to make it convenient and hassle-free. (2017 Rpod 179 originally purchased & brought down from our former state of Alaska; Tundra towed).

Thanks 4 your consideration ! (See my other post if you’ve suffered a slide-out failure.)

Thanks for your reply, and offer to buy the tire. A neighbor picked it up and is apparently using it as a dock bumper on his dock at the Shushwap in British Columbia.
yes, a non-towing road trip would have been fun!
Thanks so much,
Rana

Please be careful with this tire.  It is "C" load rating.  The Westlake on the pods are general "D" rated at 8 ply this one is 6 ply rating.

The original tires on our 2016 RP179 were load range C. I switched to load range D and have been much happier, even though I had a blowout with a load range D and not with the original load range C tires. If we had gotten just that little bit further to our daughter's house, I was going to change that tire as I did not want to go back across the US with the one that blew out. It became a moot point and our RPod has the scars to prove it.

We were pleased with the "C" rated chinese tires that originally came with our 177.  The unfortunate thing was when it was time to replace it was noted, for the first time, that the tires were nearly 2 years old when the R-Pod was built/purchased, so actually the tires were almost 7 years old when they were finally retired.  Our the 3rd set we finally upgraded to Carlisle Radial D (including the spare).  This was the first "D" rated tire on the 177 and it has resulted in much less bounce and less tire flex seen when traveling when there is a significant amount of cross wind.
