Just got back from 4 day stay.....really nice.  No electric or sewer but with my senior pass $45 for 3 nights.  Just 9 miles to Ocean City if you want more action.   Assateague is really remote....saw a lot of wild horses and the beach is beautiful.

Hi Pedwards2932

We stayed there this fall also, really love it there. Really cool to wake up and see the ponies walking around the campsites! We sometimes stay at the State park also. You can get a golden age pass from Maryland 1/2 prices Sun-Thurs and full [price Fri and Sat} The pass is $10.00(life time pass)
Both are no hook-ups BUT the State park and really nice HOT showers!

Loop G in the State Park campground has electric hookups but the sites book up completely a year out in the summer months. I just checked for availability next June - nothing in G. H is pretty full on the side closest to the beach but the back side of the loop is fairly open. I prefer the back side because there's less sand everywhere.
