I am shopping for new tires for our tow vehicle and am undecided if we should buy a tire with a 115 weight rating or a stronger tire for towing safety. Walmart has a General Tire Grabber STX2 115S for a low price but not sure if it would be a very safe tire for towing. Does anyone have any good advice what tires would be a good tire for towing? Our camper fully loaded would be about 4,000 pounds and a hitch weight about 700 pounds and our truck fully loaded about 6,000 pounds. Thank you UPDATE, I called the manufacturer of the General Grabber STX2 tires and was told by a engineer that the tires would be good for towing using our Ram truck and towing our 4,00 pound camper. So for the price we will buy the General Grabber STX2 tires.

They are good tires. Personally I am using the Michelin Latitude X on my F-150. I know they are snow tires but a neighbor down the road has 48,000 miles on his Michelin's (Lexus), he uses them year round and they still look great tread-wise. So my experiment is to do the same, great traction in rain, mud, back roads hauling a 177 and no issues yet. Curious as to how many miles I will be able to accumulate before replacing as there are only 14,000 miles on so far and they still look brand new.

I was going to get the General Tire Grabber STX2 but switched to the Atturo Trail Blade A/T Walmart had a great price $128.00 and by the reviews it is a good tire for towing with 3 ply sidewalls. Will be having them mounted while I am in Florida so I will be able to drive back home to Tennessee towing our camper with them. I don't know if it was a black Friday price but for a 275/60R20 tire for $128.00 is a great buy and I retired from Walmart so I got a additional 10% off the price. The weather in Florida is great!
