I tell all that wish to come into the Nor'east to continue north and experience a 'real' downeast' trip. This trip was done with my Rpod back in the day.

This is my journal of the run. https://bywaysnohighways.com/?p=1222

Can't wait to finish our move to CT.  We will definitely use your journal as a guide to visit the maritime provences.  Thanks so much for posting it.

President John F. Kennedy said, “All of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea — whether it is to sail or to watch it — we are going back whence we came.”

But he was incorrect. While everyone has salt in their blood (about 0.9 g/l to be exact), seawater is about 35 g/l or roughly 4x saltier than blood.

Nice quote though.

I know the feeling he refers to! Now, put me on the shoreline of Newfoundland... I'm home! Heading back there hopefully next summer!

My doctor told me to reduce the salt in my blood, but I won't.  Been sailing too long.  We are really looking forward to exploring New England and the Canadian Maritimes, especially along the coast. ....a whole new adventure for us.

Get ahold of me as you plan this. I have a couple CG's I like that you can get the trailer into. Of course another you should book now is Schoodic Woods (Arcadia National). Not being a fan of Mt Desert Island/Bar Harbor area and the crowds.. not saying Schoodic is any less crowed, but it's seems less due to mass of area.

There's another up the road much like Schoodic, much less known and same type of views (in a smaller version) A little bumpy to get in, but once there.. hard to pack up and leave. This one you have to PM me for. This place you may catch me at!

Also traveling out to Quiddy Point is a must! Eastern most point in the US and a very cool lighthouse. Bring lunch as the picnic area is very nice as well. There is a Provencial Park over the bridge (on the island) I've yet to stay at and will return to do so.
