My used 2011 RP177 did not come with a microwave. I'd like to add a small one. I see that there is a dedicated 15-amp circuit in the breaker box labeled for a microwave. However, I'm not sure which outlet this is connected to.

The area above the refrigerator, which I'm assuming is where a microwave would typically go, does not have any outlets in it. There are outlets near the stovetop though. Is that where you would usually plug in the microwave? That would seem to suggest that you'd have to create a hole in the wall to put the plug and cable through.

Can any RP177 owners weigh in with suggestions? Thanks!

To see which outlet that breaker is connected to, you can simply plug in a light and turn the breaker on and see if it lights up. It could well be that it's not connected to anything if the trailer was never optioned with a micro. If that is the case then just use any convenient 15A outlet. The fridge itself should have a 120v outlet, if you choose to, you can disconnect that and use it for the micro, but you would need to run the fridge in propane if you do that.

In a 177, the microwave outlet is actually in the over sink cabinet, back right corner.

How very odd. How are you supposed to plug in a microwave from there?

Just a guess, they may extend the circuit from that point to behind the microwave if so equipped. If not, they don't bother.

We ordered our 177 back in January 2011 without microwave, entertainment system or A/C.  Upon receiving our R-Pod it was noted that all electrical outlets were wired and ready to go in case we decided to add any of those items later on.  In all cases (electrical outlet in the headbanger box), electrical outlet on ceiling for A/C, and electrical outlet (as Furpod correctly stated) in the back right corner were all working when tested before we signed the papers.  It appears you have 2 options when adding a microwave: wrap around the wall and plug into outlet (unsightly) or drill a hole (be careful) through the side wall and connect your plug that way into the outlet.
