We have a 177 with an R-Dome and risers. No problem except the front & back corners where the Dome meets the trailer it's a bit high but after research and talking to the mfg, I came to understand that the dome was actually designed for pop-ups and not specifically the R-Pod. It doesn't cause any problem on set up and we really love our Dome.

not to worry. there is a sufficient amount of material on the sides of the tent to accommodate the risers extra elevation. We like the screen room addition of the r-dome a lot -

enjoy

Kayakkrazy: The answer regarding the R-Dome is yes, it does make the Dome slope down a bit but the only time we have had a problem is when the ground on the site also slopes away from the Pod. When there is a paved pad and the ground slopes away from the pad the Dome doesn't fit very well. Useable, but looks like you might have been inebriated when putting it up. Not a bad idea now that I mention it.

We usually travel with crate of chunks of 2x8 that are 12to 24 inches long to level the trailer with. They also come in handy to hold down the skirt of the dome with the added height of the risers. We have also used firewood pieces strategically placed to keep the skirt in place in hard packed soil or asphalt.
