I just purchased a r-pod 178 year 2017. I have not yet taken the unit out but I do have a question but I cannot find an answer to in the manual. Is there a manual override for opening or closing the slide. Thank you

Yes there is an override for the Schwintek system and I believe that is what is installed on you RPod here is a link to the troubleshooting of the Schwintek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xojUdPDWNS0&list=PLWPLWpc5h68EOSqx8JhhL0HXty8570W6x[/url\

Hope this helps and have fun with your RPod

We have a 2015 179.  I learned from this forum to never run the slide only partway, and then back.
Go all the way to the end and let it strain a bit momentarily there.  Something about timing of the gears.  At any rate I have done that each time, and never have had to worry about a manual over ride.  If the battery dies , hook the plug into the TV and close the slide with the TV and TV Battery.

The only way to manually move the Schwintek slide-out mechanism is to disconnect the motors. Then it is a trip to the service center to get them reinstalled and re-timed for proper operation. +1 about not stopping part-way. You can re-sync them. See this link for information:
