While I was priming under the pod, I took a picture of the 12vdc connections I covered up with a shield and anti corrosion gel. The shield is a piece of siding I trimmed with sheers and tied in place. I wish I had pics of the wiring underneath, but you can easily crawl under the battery box and see how the wires are exposed to the elements. Adding the anti corrosion gel protects those connections without damaging them and is easy to remove if service is required. I use the gel on my auto light connections up front that are exposed to rain, ect at 70 mph. So far no corrosion issue or bad connections over time. I am posting the gel also.  If anyone has before photos of their wiring up close, please post. I think you will see what i mean when you look closely.
