So, just to be clear, you are saying move the clip more in this direction...even to the outside edge of ALL the fins?  |

Yes, you got it Grant. Mine is to the right of the 6 fins your green arrow is pointing toward. As I last posted the switch is 1.5" from the top of the exhaust stack.
