We FINALLY are going out for a maiden run of the Escape PodTongue
We are going to Misty River Campground in Townsend , Tennessee. Talked with the owner today and he said one of their regulars has a Pod. She lives in a nearby city, apparently just returned from the Kentucky roundup. She is also a member of Sisters on the Fly. I see one Pod on that site, this one maybe from Oklahoma? I have not given the city she is from, I respect her privacy, but if she is on this forum, would love to hear from her. She comes in the Pod alone to Misty River, if her husband comes they have a 5th wheel.

Also, the owner wished me to tell whom ever does the planning that they would love to work with the r.pods and have a roundup. Apparently they have had a recent gathering of vintage trailers. Other gathering also. I told him I did not know the size that was needed for a roundup, but that I would post this.

I can not vouch for he campground since we have not stayed there yet. Townsend is quiet and has a lot to offer in the surrounding area.
The web site is:  www.MistyRiversRV.com

Sure would like to talk to this lady since she is pretty near where I amWink

I found this on the Misty Rivers Campground web site. For those looking into an awning for the Pod. I have not bought one , but will check into it when I do.

I am going to stick with my 2-pole Coleman Sun Shade right now. One has been used for an awning and good pictures are posted on the owners forum of how to modify the Sun Shade for this purpose. GOOD CLOSE UPS.

I like the vintage trailers.  I had an older Shasta that I was rebuilding but needed to sell it before I was finished.  One day again I will have one again.
