The manual that comes with the Sunbeam explains this cool-down function.  You do not get it with regular microwaves....this is convection microwave and there is a difference.

Thanks to all.  I can understand that it is a cool-down function.  But, it is really annoying........and how come other microwaves don't do this, including every other microwave that I have ever owned???Cry

It is a cool down built in to cool both the convection and microwave oven.  My in the R-pod and also in my house do this cool down.

Mine cools down as well. Leave it on and see if it turns off. If not contact the person you bought it from to see what he says. Enjoy your pod!

I know on mine it runs a little after using it.  I think on mine it's just the cooling fan running.  How long will yours run?

I think it runs in  a cooldown mode for a few minutes after it is done.  Try letting it go for a few minutes and see if it shuts itself off.  At least this is true for the convection oven mode, can't remember about the microwave part.

Hello, All
I purchase my RP-175 back in April and have really enjoyed it.  However, I have an issue with the microwave that came with it.  It is a Sunbeam SB-22200.  Frequently, when in use, at the end of the cooking time, it continues to run.  No button will turn it off, so we have to pull the plug.  I have tried repeatedly to contact Sunbeam, but they will not return my messages.  Has anyone had a similar microwave problem?  If so, what should be done to correct it?  Thanks for the feedback.
John
